I hope you feel better! Soon!!! One of my cousins broke her foot bouldering. And she wasn't even high and it was indoors! lol She has no fancy story either. But she had to go through THREE surgeries. The first time it healed wrong so they tried again. Then it was still wrong so they had to do a third and put a huge screw in her foot. Anyway - I'm sure you don't want to know that... so... ignore all of it. (((hugs))) Hope you feel better ASAP!

I hope your humor means you're feeling okay (or the drugs). Either way I'm sure you are on the mend.

I still remember clearly the morning after my first, major back surgery (12 hours long, 20 inch scar) at 18. I was in the ICU and I insisted that the nurse call my house at 4:45 in the morning so I could ask my mom to buy detangler (my long hair was a hot mess) and chapstick (my lips were so chapped from being positioned on my front titled forward at a slight angle during the surgery). She only brought the chapstick. Finally, on day 3 of my stay, I received a in-bed shampoo. SUCKED.

The first thing we did when I was discharged was to have my mom shampoo it in the kitchen sink while I lay on the counter. DEVINE. I wasn't able to take a real shower (had to protect the wound!) for a few more weeks!

Here's to your continued healing!

Glad you're OK, except for the hair of course. It's amazing how much oil is generated on the scalp. I'm wondering why it isn't on my very dry hands, and feet. Hope your recovery goes well.

Looking forward to hearing your Harborview stories. Hope you're doing well and that you were able to dispatch the HazMat team on short order!

Glad to hear you are home. No chance McDreamy (or McSteamy) was your surgeon? That'd make healing really quick ;)

I had minor surgery last week and from laying down in the bed, my hair was so incredibly oily as well. Pretty frustrating for a woman isn't it?

I'll move quickly over to the next post to hear how your surgery went. I really hope you are in not too much pain.
