(Traditional) Sunday Meme

Compliments of Ann(ie):

1. Favorite Person - No fair! That's like asking who my favorite child is! How about "family"?

2. Favorite Food - Peter and Danelle made fish tacos tonight and they were fabulous, so that's my final answer (for today).

3. Quirks about you - I take list-making to a whole new level. I love to both go to sleep and wake up. I like having my forearms scratched.

4. How would the person who loves you most describe you in ten words or less? - I actually asked Tom that question (and Peter and Aleks piped in too): "Spunky, detail-oriented, organized, but messy (?!), verbal, illogical, emotional, dutiful, responsible and dedicated."

5. Any regrets in life? - Can't think of any off-hand. Even stuff I've regretted at the time has turned out to have resulted in something positive.

6. Favorite charity/cause - Open Arms

7. Favorite Blog - Oh man, bunches of them! Check out my blogroll.

8. Something you can't get enough of - Back scratches and hair brushings. Yes, I am, in fact, a hedonist!

9. Worst job you ever had - I have had bad projects and bad moments in a few of my jobs, but I'm really lucky to have had mostly awesome jobs.

10. What job would you pay NOT to have - Just about any of the jobs on "The Dirtiest Job." But I'd probably pay to meet Mike Rowe (when he's cleaned up)!

11. If you could be a fly on the wall anywhere, where would it be - Right now, I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the UW admissions office and observe as they went through 22,000 applications to see how they decided who to accept and who to reject. I can only imagine that that's an excruciatingly tough job.

12. Breaking news - There will be sunshine in Seattle in the next few days.

13. Guilty pleasure - Must I admit this? Really? OK, here goes: I watch The Bachelor religiously!

14. Got any confessions? - Here? Nope.

15. If you had $1000 to spend on YOURSELF, what would you spend it on - I'd travel to some exotic place and write a book while there. (So I'll need more than $1000...!)

16. Favorite thing about your house - All the stuff Tom built and made.

17. Least favorite thing - The fact that it's a split-level.

18. One thing you are bad at - I'll give you two: math and science.

19. If you could change one thing about your current circumstances what would it be - I'd have the resources to put these kids through college so we wouldn't have to constantly worry about how on earth we'll do it.

20. Who would you like to meet someday - Barack Obama.

21. What makes you feel sexy - Losing weight and buying clothes in smaller sizes.

22. Who is your real life hero - My friend Kristin.

23. What is the hardest part of your job - I don't have any opportunity for creativity and my job has nothing at all to do with creating something that enhances a kid's day. This is the first job I've had in 25 years in which that's the case.

24. When are you most relaxed - When I'm in the tub and when my kitty curls up next to me.

25. What stresses you out - Having too much to do and knowing there's no humanly possible way of doing it all. And if I don't even conceptually understand what I'm supposed to be doing, I get off-the-charts stressed!

26. What can you NOT live without - My family, writing, baths, friends, Internet access.

27. Do you agree or disagree with the recent article that reported that blogs
are authored by narcissists -Disagree.

28. Why do you blog - Because I'm a narcissist, obviously! :-)

29. Who are you tagging - If you got this far, you're officially tagged!

I'm a chronic list maker, too.
Makes me happy. ;)
